I just watched Last Days, after considerable amount of efforts. For not having too high expectations on any of it, it was basically what I thought it to be. It was kind of slow. There s nothing wrong about slowness unless it s accompanied by some coherent activities. Well there we re some. Still, too many scenes ended up in a pure self indulgence. Like showing Boyz II Men video for an eternity. Or watching Blake wandering around his cabin for a very long time. That s just not the way. Maybe Gus was a bit ran out on a set. However, it featured some nice textures and gray shade colors on sceneries of Seattle. A minimal dialogue was just cool, and Michael Pitt was quite in it. These tracks are what I make of it all. Serve the Servants must be one of the all time shattering openings on record. Pitt s strumming some acoustics. Out of the blue into the black.
